Our activities & formats
What does a City Games team-building activity involve?
Your collaborators are divided into teams of 4 to 6 people, equipped with a smartphone and our application. They explore the city through geolocation challenges, quizzes, and photo and video challenges, and accumulate points. The winning team is announced at the end of the activity.
What team building formats do you offer?
City Games offers four formats: outdoor, indoor, virtual, and hybrid. This flexibility allows the activity to be adapted to any setting, any season, and even to teams spread across multiple locations.
Indoor or outdoor team building: what to choose?
The outdoor format is ideal for exploring a city and fostering a sense of community on the go; the indoor format is suited to specific venue or seasonal constraints. City Games offers both, as well as a hybrid format, and our games can even take place in the rain.
Can we create a tailor-made team-building activity?
Yes. City Games tailors the course, challenges, and branding to your goals and corporate identity. The activity can reflect your values, an internal message, or a specific event.
Do you offer activities for remote or teleworking teams?
Yes. Our virtual format brings remote teams together for an interactive online activity, ideal for strengthening the cohesion of hybrid or multi-site teams.
Participants & Organization
For how many participants?
City Games activities can accommodate anywhere from 6 to 3,000 participants. The team-based format makes it possible to organize everything from small team-building exercises to large corporate events.
What is the ideal group size?
Our activities work from 6 people and can accommodate up to 3000. The format in teams of 4 to 6 ensures that everyone actively participates, regardless of the total number of participants.
Is good physical condition required to participate?
No. Our urban activities are based on reflection, collaboration, and discovery, at a leisurely walking pace. They are accessible to all backgrounds and ages, and can be adapted for specific needs.
How long does an activity last?
A City Games session typically lasts 2.5 hours, but can be adjusted to last between 1 and 3 hours depending on your needs and schedule.
How much time should be allocated for a successful team building event?
Count on approximately 2.5 hours for a complete and unifying experience. An hour is enough for a short format integrated into a meeting, while 3 hours allow for deeper immersion. The activity can also be combined with a meal or an evening.
Can team building be combined with a seminar, a meal, or an evening event?
Yes, upon request. Our activities can easily be integrated into a seminar day, a team lunch, or a company evening, to make your event a complete experience.
What are the benefits of team building for a company?
Team building strengthens team cohesion, communication, and employee motivation. It fosters collaboration between departments, facilitates the integration of new arrivals, and creates a positive shared experience outside of the usual work environment.

Choosing your activity in Switzerland
What team building activity to choose in Switzerland?
In Switzerland, the most versatile activity is the connected urban scavenger hunt: your teams explore the city with their smartphones in hand, completing challenges both outdoors and indoors. City Games offers about 20 different activities (treasure hunts, escape games, quizzes, puzzles) in more than 15 cities, for groups ranging from 6 to over 3,000 participants, starting at 33 CHF per person.
What is a connected urban treasure hunt (City Explorer)?
A geolocation-based team game: equipped with a smartphone, each team follows a route through the city and completes challenges (photos, puzzles, missions) to score points. This is City Games’s flagship format, ideal for corporate team-building events.
What team-building ideas in Geneva, Lausanne, or Zurich?
In major Swiss cities, the connected urban scavenger hunt is the most popular activity: teams discover iconic landmarks by completing challenges. City Games operates in more than 15 cities, each with its own local content (Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Basel, Bern, Lugano…).
Can we do team building in winter?
Yes. For the cold season, Winter Explorer is ideal: an outdoor scavenger hunt designed for winter that keeps teams warm as they move around. And if they’d rather stay warm indoors, the indoor versions take over (escape games, quizzes, puzzles, corporate events).
